NMPP Energy named among "Best Places to Work"

NMPP Energy was recently named among “Best Places to Work” in the medium-sized business category for 2026 in Lincoln, Neb., by Woods Aitken LLP, the Lincoln Journal Star and LincolnHR.

Collectively, the coalition of organizations that make up NMPP Energy are purpose-driven at their core—supporting public power and natural gas communities with reliable, cost-based and sustainable energy and services. Through NMPP Energy’s member-driven approach, it gives communities a strong, collective voice, creating a deep sense of connection and purpose. With an emphasis on partnership, integrity, and long-term relationships, employees feel valued, engaged, and proud of the work they do.

“This award is a reflection of the passion our team has to serve our member communities,” said NMPP Energy Executive Direcotor/CEO Bob Poehling. “We work for the communities we serve — small municipalities that work together in finding energy-related solutions to move forward. Our team is extremely passionate and proud to assist them.”

The Best Places to Work program, which started in 2013, recognizes local companies that, through a third-party administered employee survey, rank their respective companies as being the best places to work. The areas surveyed include workplace environment, leadership direction, culture and management practices. This is the second time NMPP Energy has been recognized among the "Best Places to Work".
