Jason Rosenkranz leads wholesale electric operations

NMPP Energy Executive Director Bob Poehling recently announced Jason Rosenkranz as the new director of wholesale electric operations for the Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska (MEAN).

Jason brings more than two decades of experience with the Nebraska Public Power District, where he most recently served as Director of Resource Planning and Risk. In that role, he led efforts in electric load and revenue forecasting, integrated resource planning, production cost modeling, energy market risk management, while supporting major resource decisions.

He has also been actively involved in Southwest Power Pool policy development, including as a participant in the Supply Adequacy Working Group and as a voting member of the Load Forecasting Task Force. Throughout his career, Jason has held leadership roles in business transformation, strategic management, and resource planning.

Jason holds a Master’s Degree in Energy Business from the University of Tulsa, a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from the University of Nebraska, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from Kansas State University.
