Build the Training Grounds. Build Your Skills.

Be part of the inaugural hands-on training event at the Heartland Municipal Utility Training Site in Grand Island, Nebraska. This event brings together municipal utility lineworkers from across the region for three days of practical, field-focused training and collaboration.

Building the Training Grounds

This initial event will also support development of the training facility. Participants will assist in constructing training structures—setting poles, framing, installing equipment, and building distribution configurations that will remain in place as permanent training stations.

This approach provides hands-on experience while helping establish a long-term regional training resource for municipal utilities.

What to Expect

  • Entry-level focused skill development
  • Real-world construction techniques
  • Peer learning and collaboration
  • Opportunity to help build a regional training facility

Who Should Attend?

  • Entry-level and apprentice lineworkers
  • Journeyman lineworkers looking to reinforce fundamentals
  • Crew leaders and supervisors
