The City of Curtis, Neb., is seeking a qualified Journeyman Lineman to join its operations team in Curtis, Nebraska. The City of Curtis serves approximately 35 square miles, and serves a population of approximately 1100 between Maywood, Curtis and its farm ground in between. Curtis offers a high quality of life with good schools and abundant outdoor recreational opportunities, including hunting and fishing.
Position Overview
This position is located in Curtis, where residency may be required. The Lineman will work under the supervision of the Utility Superintendent, with help from any and all field staff at times. The line work is the primary function of the position other tasks throughout the municipal system may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certificate of Completion or Associate Degree from an accredited Power Linemen School, or equivalent verifiable linework experience
- Valid Nebraska Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Municipal construction standards
