The City of Sidney, Neb., is seeking qualified individuals to fill the Electric Superintendent position. This is a supervisory position, with the full responsibilities of directing and coordinating the overall construction, maintenance, and operation of the City’s electric and generation system. Responsibilities include, planning, coordinating, and managing programs and resources to ensure compliance with local, county, state, and federal regulations; responding to customer inquiries; generating reports and monitoring budgets; and providing leadership, direction training, safety, and evaluation of employees. The superintendent oversees eight employees and develops appropriate training and safety programs for the department. Work is performed under minimal direction of the Assistant City Manager. High School diploma or equivalent; five years of experience working in electric utility operations; Minimum of three years supervisory experience. Beginning Salary: $74,818.
