The Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska (MEAN) is holding its annual series of electric utility training sessions on a variety of topics at two locations in Nebraska Sept. 30-Oct. 1.
Locations include Broken Bow and Lincoln and will feature six-hour training session at each location. Topics include:
• Strengthening Community Readiness: Mutual aid in Action
• Smart Metering Insights: AMI Do’s and Don’ts and What’s Next
• RUS Distribution Specs for Overhead and Underground Systems
• Hands-On Lab: Transformer Connections and Overhead Line Construction
• Keeping Power Ready: Regulator Training Essentials
• Staying Safe in the Field: Testing Devices for Lineworker Protection

Oct. 1 - Lincoln, Neb., NMPP Energy, 8377 Glynoaks Drive
Class participation is $500 per community to send up to five individuals to each training (additional attendees can be added for $25/person). Invoices for this service will be sent following the training sessions. Please register all who plan to attend for an accurate headcount for meal planning. Participants will not be charged if unable to attend or if they already participated and paid for the Spring training sessions.
