Brad Hans, director of wholesale electric operations for the Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska, was recently nominated and elected to serve on the Southwest Power Pool’s (SPP) Members Committee, filling a mid-term municipal sector vacancy on the committee.
Hans’ term will begin January 1, 2026, and run through the end of the year, pending approval by the SPP Board of Directors in November.
The SPP Members Committee works with the Board of Directors to manage and direct the general business of SPP, including providing input to the Board of Directors.
The Members Committee consists of up to 24 stakeholders including representatives from investor-owned utilities, utility cooperatives, municipal utilities, independent power producers and federal and state power agencies.
