The Nebraska Municipal Power Pool (NMPP), the energy-related services organization of NMPP Energy, elected officers for its board of directors for fiscal year 2009-10 at its annual meeting March 25 in North Platte, Neb.
Those elected to one-year terms as officers of the board of directors beginning April 1 were:
Mike Beachler, utilities superintendent, Fairbury, Neb., president;
Dan Berlowitz, city administrator, Seward, Neb., vice president;
Marv Schultes, manager of utilities, Hastings, Neb., secretary/treasurer.
All three officers were re-elected after serving as officers in 2008-09. The 16-member board meets quarterly to conduct and manage the business affairs of NMPP. As elected officers, the three also will serve on NMPP Energy’s Joint Operating Committee, which includes members from the four NMPP Energy entities.
Formed in 1975 by 19 communities, NMPP provides assistance to 198 municipalities in a variety of energy and management services.
